Being an eco-conscious golf course and estate, Zimbali’s tee boxes are often situated in the slightly tricky positions to avoid environmental disturbances. The first eleven holes take over rolling hills, which present ideal vantage points from which to enjoy the magnificent views. Thereafter, holes 12 to 18 explore the Zimbali indigenous forest.

The course was designed by the former South African PGA and British open champion, Tom Weiskopf.

It was founded on 07 November, 1998 and it is a course of hybrid category with both a Link and Coastal Forrest 18 Hole Course.

It is also interesting to note that THE VALLEY OF THE POOLS is managed by the Zimbali Country Club.

Valley of the Pools is regarded as THE place to be on the Zimbali Estate. The restaurant boasts a variety of dishes, from delicious sushi to mouth-watering pizzas. An all-day dining experience, coupled with attentive staff, surrounded by the beauty of Zimbali and the ocean. One pool boasts a 25m swimming lane for those that want to keep in shape, with another pool heated for those chilly Winter days.
